Gm football fans. Route One here.
Itās the start of the week.
For some of you, (you know who Iām talking about ā United fans cough cough), this wonāt be the easiest week in the office.
I recommend you keep a low profile.
Perhaps WfH or take a couple sickies? That way, no one will question your tears.
Anyway, enough of that fun.
Letās get into it, shall we.

MORNING BRIEF
Everything you need to know
š“ Heckingbottom likely to be replaced by Sheffield United legend Chris Wilder. āThis is not me moaning...ā said Heckingbottom after their loss to Spurs on Saturdayā¦ before proceeding to moan for what felt like a lifetime.
šš» City look to sign Barcelonaās wonder-kid Lamine Yamal over the summer. Itās reported that the club have ācome with everythingā (AKA a shit ton of money) to tempt the 16-year-old.
š¤§ On the flip sideā¦ Barcelona could make a shock loan move for Sancho in January. Well, thatās if heās still at the club by then.
š¤ Chelseaās Trevor Chalobah eyed by Bayern Munich for Januaryās window. Why? You might ask. Donāt look at us, we havenāt a clueā¦

PL Weekend Review
š“āŖļø Man United vs Brighton šµāŖļø
Letās face it, United were terrible.
But, that doesnāt take away from Brightonās performance. De Zerbi has made The Seagulls play like prime Barcelona. Iām talking ā09 days.
Is Unitedās poor start to the season a structural issue or just a blip? Hard to tell.
But, they have decent fixtures coming up with Burnley (A), Palace (H), Brentford (H) and Sheff United (A). Ten Haagās hoping they can scrape a few wins as heās beginning to run out of scapegoatsā¦
š“ā«ļø Bournemouth vs Chelsea šµāŖļø
Absolute snoozefest.
The only bit of excitement came before the game when Poch benched Chilwell. Oh yeahā¦ and Conor Gallagher was Chelseaās captain???
Anywayā¦ NEXT.
šµāŖļø Tottenham vs Sheffield United š“ā«ļø
FPL Assists
Harry Kane is pissed. Heās sitting at home thinking, āwhere were these players when I was there?ā.
Anyway, this game shows why this is the best league in the world. You canāt lose concentration. Not even for a secondā¦ 98th minute winner.
Richarlison reached 50 goals PL goals with his header. Could this be the turning point for his Spurs career? š¤
š”ā«ļø Wolves vs Liverpool š“āŖļø
Fun fact: Kloppās side failed to win any lunchtime matches last season. Crazy, right?
Now, Liverpool extended their unbeaten run to 16 league matches.
Wolves had their moments of quality (could have been 3-0 up themselves) but the story of their season continues: they canāt score.
Itās about time they get in some good olā shooting practice.
š¤š” West Ham vs Man City šµāŖļø
If you put Alvarez in your FPL team (like me), you must be feeling a little smug.
Pep roulette might come back into play soon but at Ā£6.8m, heās currently a steal.
JĆ©rĆ©my Doku equaliser sparked Cityās comeback. After that performance, heāll be on every managerās FPL watchlist.
The 6ft 5 Robot provided yet another return. Thatās 7 in 5 now. Youāre not considering changing captainā¦ are you? š
Side note: Ward-Prowse is looking like a good FPL differentialā¦
ā«ļøāŖļø Newcastle vs Brentford š“āŖļø
There was only one star in this game: VAR. šø
He always makes the headlines these days.
Was it a dive from Gordon? I meanā¦ Flekken shouldnāt have rushed out and swiped his legsā¦
Anyway, Newcastle did a good job of ending that 3-loss streak against a tough Brentford side.
They have a much easier run of games nowā¦ is now the time to transfer in Trippier?
šµš” Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace šµāŖļø
How did that happen, then?
Villa were on the brink of a defeat. But, Emeryās subs - DurĆ”n + Bailey - both scored to seal a late win.
Palace have had better days. Without Guehu and Lerma, it wasnāt going to be easy against this Villa side.
Still, itās a promising start to the season for both sidesā¦
āŖļøā«ļø Fulham vs Luton šµš”
I mean, this wouldnāt have been my first choice watch from the weekend fixtures.
Butā¦
Fulham get their first home win of the campaign. šš¼
And Luton did well to not concede more than 1, I guess?
šµāŖļø Everton vs Arsenal š“āŖļø
Tbh, it was far from edge-of-seat stuff.
But, I can appreciate good football when I see it. And thatās what Artetaās men do well.
I canāt help but think theyād be a little disappointed with the overall performance. I guess thereās nothing that Artetaās dressing-room doodles canāt fixā¦ šØ
Martinelliās disallowed goal was legit in my book.
How is there only one angle for VAR in the top-flight? The biggest league in the world, over 2bil spent in the transfer windowā¦ make it make sense. š«¤
