Plus, UCL results, Chelsea after Ramsdale, Timber training date revealed...
Gm football fans. Route One here.
So, I woke up this morning at realised two things: 1) I forgot to take out the bins and 2) we havenāt explained something very important to youā¦
What Route One actually is.
You mightāve already guessedā¦ but our aim is to give you a dose of football news and laughs in 5 mins. Oh, and a sprinkle of FPL insight.
Each day, we sift through the sea of noise and curate the news and insights that you need to know. Thatās it.
We were bored of boring reporting by The Athletic and BBCā¦ we felt it was about time to freshen football news. VoilĆ ā¦ Route One.
Todayās newsletter includes:
āļø Morning brief: Chelsea after Ramsdale, Timber training date revealed, Rico Henry out, and moreā¦
š Midweek Analysis: GW6 - Salah & Trippier IN?
šļø This week aheadā¦ European fixtures this week
šļø MORNING BRIEF

šŖ Rico Henry suffers anterior cruciate ligament injuryā¦ meaning his season could be over for the young playerā¦
š In more positive newsā¦ Roy Hodgson returns to Crystal Palace training and will be back in the dugout for their next match vs Fulham.
š“ Jurrien Timber is expected back at Arsenal before Christmas after undergoing a successful knee surgery.

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE
Midweek Analysisā¦
Look, no one had a good Gameweek. Letās put that behind us and look ahead to GW6ā¦
š Is Salah really essential?
Itās rarely ever āessentialā to get a player inā¦ (except of course if itās The Robot).
But this might the exception to the exceptionā¦
Salah is the only player to have returned in every single league match so far.
If thatās not enough to convince you, weāve summarised Fantasy Football Hubās analysis of Salahā¦
Liverpool face West Ham, who have conceded 7 goals with an xGC of 11.4 (seventeenth in the league)
Liverpool are 3rd favourite to score 2.5+ goals in GW6 (Salah being the second favourite to score at anytime)
Salahās chance creation has been higher than last season - so heās like a long-term purchase
To sum upā¦ find a way to get Salah into you team.
Tripping up?
A Newcastle transfer is a no-brainer this week. Their run of fixtures is simply too juicy to ignore.
Trippier (Ā£6.5m) is now a great option. His xA + xPts are still low but thatās only because of the difficult fixtures at the start of the season.
Heās likely to get some attacking returns now that heāll have more attacking freedom.
Clean sheets are on the cardsā¦
Feeling stingy? Schar (Ā£5.0m) is also a good shout at a much cheaper price.
GW6 Differential?
Odsonne Edouard (Ā£5.6m) is owned by just 4.2% of managers.
Heās got great underlying stats & Palace continue to be heavily reliant on Edouard for attacking returns.
4 goals in 5 canāt go unnoticedā¦
Palaceās play Fulham who have looked solid defensively but, so far, they have been lucky not to have conceded based on the difference between their xGC and goals conceded.
